Welcome to Westcountry Landlords Association website.  We are a not for profit organisation run by landlords for landlords.  Based in Plymouth, we represent landlords throughout the westcountry from Bristol, through Gloucestshire and Devon, to the far west of Cornwall.

The first and only landlord association in the UK to offer a unique 24/7 emergency helpline to members. Having a committee with over 100 years experience collectively, we are able to deal with your queries swiftly and professionally.

Licence For Landlords !

Following on from our previous article "Goverment to Licence Landlords" the government have now produced a response to the Julie Rugg review.Thus taking this a step further to making it compulsory.

The overall plan would mean private landlords would have to be registered before being allowed to let residential properties.

Tenancy Deposit Website!

When taking a deposit make sure that you use one of the three approved schemes for tenancy deposit protection. 

We would like to make you aware that there is a website www.mytenancydeposit.co.uk which is not one of the schemes approved by the Government for tenancy deposit protection.

Government To Licence Landlords

Following the Julie Rugg review, the government are now considering tougher new regulations for landlords. There has been a large increase in landlords due to the 'accidental landlord' coming into the market. It is clear that the current legislation affecting Landlords is being ignored by a number of Landlords, either deliberately or through ignorance of the law.
