have
difficulties
in
the
way
that

our
site.
You may see it justified to one side or the other? Others may see the text going off the screen on the right hand side? This may be due to the settings that you have set your computer monitor to. This setting is called the "Monitor Resolution" You may wish to change this setting, if so, we have included a few simple instructions opposite for you to follow to enable you to alter these settings. It is not as difficult as though it may seem at first! Other problems may be due to the "Internet Explorer" that is being used for viewing. For your reference/guidance, we have used Internet Explorer 5.
You may wish to print this page for future reference. |
Instructions
1. Click on the "Start Menu" in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. 2. Go to "settings", follow the arrow, then click onto "Control Panel". (This opens up showing many small "icons") 3. Double click on the "Display" icon - this will bring up your monitors "Display Properties". 4. Click on the tab marked "Settings" (you will now see your monitor settings presented in "pixels" on the lower part of this sub-screen). 5. Move the slider to 800 x 600 pixels and click on "Apply". 6. Now you will see a window appear advising of the new resize configuration that is about to be applied, click OK. 7. The screen will momentarily go blank, the new resize will appear with a sub-box asking if you want to keep these settings. 8. Click Yes - next click on OK again. 9. Your display will now be altered and will go back to the "Control Panel" sub-screen. Now close this window. 10. If you choose not to accept the changes at No: 6 above the Display Settings that you had set as your "Default Settings" would you back to normal.
Other factors that may contribute may be the servers themselves (especially peak times--try if possible, to avoid these times). Other factors for consideration is that your computer system may be running too slow (you may have too many applications open at at one time-- try close them and see), your modem may be a little on the slow side (56kbs is ideal) or your memory may need upgrading, or your processor may be a little slow. We have tried to highlight a few problems that you may encounter - you may consider having a word with your computer manufacturer for more help and advice. We hope that the above has been of assistance to you. NOTE: It is just as easy to reverse the above. |
